Zentangle Demos scheduled for Florence and Niagara Wisconsin Public Libraries
Zentangle® is coming to the area! Zentangle is an easy to learn, fun and relaxing way of creating art by drawing structured patterns. Zentangle has been known to increase focus, lessen stress and provide artistic satisfaction even if you don’t consider yourself very artistic or creative. The materials used are simple, easy to carry and inexpensive. A demonstration of Zentangle will be given by Cari Raboin and Cathy Staeven on Friday, July 26th at the Florence Public Library at 1:00 p.m. and at 3:00 p.m. at the Niagara Public Library. Cari and Cathy are Certified Zentangle Teachers who are originally from this area (Niagara) and became CZTs when they traveled to Providence, RI in October of 2011 to attend a teacher training seminar. Now, both Cari and Cathy teach classes in their areas – the Houghton area in Michigan and the Fox Valley area in Wisconsin. The Zentangle demo will include an introduction to the background history, a show-and-tell of examples and a brief sample of it in action. Both demonstrations are free and precede a workshop that will be offered in Iron Mountain in August.
