Tile and ATC for Zentangle friends

On our Certified Zentangle Teacher’s Yahoo and Facebook groups, there have been some requests for items to help cheer a few of our members who have health problems. I completed these two items yesterday and today and they are ready to mail.

ATC with the tangles of Ennies, Yew-Dee, and Tipz (my new favorite).

Here is a tile with Flukes, Showgirl, and Indy-Rella. I added a little teal color (with crayon!) to this one because that is the person’s favorite.

So I’ll be sending these out in the mail next week and I hope they bring a little cheer to the recipients.

Letter to CBS Sunday Morning

Here is a picture of the letter, envelope, and tile I sent today to the CBS Sunday Morning show to ask them to do a story featuring Zentangle. Two Certified Zentangle Teachers (Linda Cobb and Linda Halvorsen) came up with the idea to promote Zentangle to the Sunday Morning program to help spread the joy. So an idea developed, and was shared by the originators of Zentangle, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, for people to send tangled letters, envelopes, and, of course, tiles to CBS all on the same day, telling our own experiences with Zentangle. I decided to share a tile that I made during the teaching of one of my Introduction to Zentangle classes. One of the main things I love about Zentangle is that anyone can do it! And I am a perfect example of that!

I hope the people at CBS enjoy all the little pieces of art they will be receiving and are inspired to share the beauty of Zentangle with their viewers.
